Our Developmental Kindergarten Program (K4)

Kindergarten is a significant step on the path of education. That is why Messiah offers Developmental Kindergarten open to four-year-olds. Our Developmental Kindergarten classes are tailored to prepare children for Kindergarten (K5). It is designed to allow children to become familiar with the classroom environment.

Opportunities are provided for the child to grow emotionally, mentally, socially and spiritually. Activities and experiences are offered in religion, reading readiness, math readiness, music, art, dramatic play and science. All of these provide a strong foundation for the following kindergarten (K5) year as well as for later education. These activities are set in a Christ-centered, warm, loving, safe and family-like environment as a foundation for a positive school experience.

When they enter their kindergarten (K5) year, the child will be a more confident learner, a leader of their class and ready for the many challenges the elementary years ahead will provide. The goal of this program is to help children be socially, emotionally and academically ready for the rigors of kindergarten.

Messiah offers the option of a full or half day for K4 students. There are a limited number of spaces available for this program.
